Our Alexa Weddings dresses cover story was photographed in Long Island City’s industrial-glam Metropolitan Building (4401 11th St.), built in 1909 as an electrical-parts facility and now a striking wedding and events venue. Its 12-foot-high ceilings, hand-painted hardwood floors, oversize windows and captivating antique chandeliers and settees can host ceremonies and receptions for up to 250 guests.
